Brand: DTC air purifier brand

My role: Strategy and setup, content program owner

Platforms: CertRev, Shopify Plus, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot shopping integrations

The situation

More shoppers now ask AI assistants which product to buy instead of searching and clicking. If an assistant can't read a brand's site or understand its products, the brand isn't part of the answer. The site was built for traditional search only.

What I did

  • Added an llms.txt file that tells AI crawlers what the site is about and where the key pages are.

  • Expanded structured data and FAQs so product details, questions, and answers are machine readable.

  • Rewrote titles and meta descriptions for both search engines and AI answers.

  • Set up the ChatGPT and Copilot shopping integrations so products can show up and be bought inside those assistants.

  • Launched a weekly article program, with every article reviewed by an expert before publishing.

Results

  • Blog traffic up 71% in 2026

  • Products live and selling through ChatGPT and Copilot shopping integrations

  • A weekly publishing cadence of expert-reviewed content

What this means for your brand

AI search rewards the same things good retention does: clear product information, honest answers, and content that earns trust. The setup is a one time project, and it keeps paying off as more customers shop through assistants.
